There one can see deer, mountain lions, sheep, cows other representatives of flora and fauna. Another attractive landmark is an enormous rock that looks a lot like a polar bear and which is used by drivers as a distance marker for the race. Though the Baja 1000 can be considered as the most famous desert race, so the popular Winter Trail Run can be regarded as the best snow tracks in the USA.
The popular Winter Trail Run is hold in Wisconsin, at the area of Saint Croix River Valley. The temperature lowered to a blazing five degrees below freezing in 2001 at the trail run 12th Anniversary. However, more than thirty racers still turned up. There are as well a number of very attractive sights in this area of Wisconsin, although to the off-roaders they are just obstacles. There are gigantic hills covered by snow, holes hidden underneath snow, deep snow covered forest, channels filled with frost, strong winds, trenches and lots of more probably shocking obstacles. In accordance with Baker there were lots of cars competing that were employed as ordinary automobiles. One of such cars was a comfortable 2001 Toyota Tacoma .
Powerhouse Road is situated at the South Central part of Colorado and lengthens over to New Mexico. This track was in fact used some time ago to haul coal of railroads. Powerhouse Road’s relief is mainly rocky. Werkmeister said that they spent six hours to make up the track and that the only obstacle was a hole.
