good post dude, i’ve been wondering if this scale is worth investing in, im in the market this summer, have any suggestions? im looking to ripp off road and with good top speed and handleing, for rally style driving…what should i look into for 1/5 scale, mostly rec driving…
thanks….
Yeah 1/5 is seriously catching up in terms of speed and is up on popularity. the only thing that 1/5 was missing(speed) it is now getting.4wd, fuel injection etc, 1/5 just a whole lot more adult in size, easier to operate, cheaper to run, faarrr better in actual rugged off read scenarios , more rugged, Far more enjoyable etc Nitro is surely, gradually loosing its only advantage of speed over gas, and that is bad for nitro cause gas already beat it every where else, Nitro blows honestly.
depending on the modification, if you want to race on extreme offroad condition, the 1/5 scale kicks ass. I have a baja 5t that has been modified to do over 105kmh. It kicks most 1/8 scale except road cars and drag cars.
And yes you have to have money to invest on a 1/5 scale. So Mr rcpro17, research your comments before you post it, because it makes you look like an idiot!
And 1/5 scale is growing rapidly and soon will be popular because clubs are springing everywere.
the length is 770mm With 460mm overall height. its got a huge 310mm wide. with a massive 25-85mm ground clerance. ill say 35 or 40 pounds. 510mm wheelbase. T6 alloy(4mm) chassis. Adjustable angle Shock absorber. oilfilled 3 step adjustable. shaft driven 3 differantial four wheel drive Lock/Unlock diffs optional engine 29cc long stroke.
if you know how to control and maintain 1:10th and 1:8th scale buggy or truck and you wanna step the game up.. get it! its $1,500.
